Prologue Somewhere in Japan In a dimly lit room there was a mysterious yet seductive woman and a tied up girl. The woman had long blond hair in a pony tail and deep dark brown eyes, a red ringmaster like outfit and hat, red nails and black, gold studded boots. She had fishnets covering her thighs and was holding a black rod that contained a mystical crystal on top. She is known as the Ring mistress. The tied up girl has medium brown hair, braided and large green eyes. She wore her school uniform though her hat is missing. She is the Cardcaptor, Sakura. The Ringmistress looks at the window Ringmistress: Soon I will have the most original, most amazing talent under my command. They will be better than animals, they will be the most original performances known to man. She looks at Sakura Ringmistress: And you will be my latest act, yet to you it will just be a dream. Whether it is a nightmare or not, is all up to you. That is the only thing you can choose. Sakura: You won't get away with this; I won't let you use me just for your own gains. Ringmistress: Little do you realise when you show off your magic for the first time everyone will know, what the people will decide to do with you after that, is all up to them. Sakura is shocked Sakura: My magic,the star cards, how do you know? The Ringmistress goes up to her Ringmistress: You won't to need know how I discovered your powers once you appear as my new act. The Ringmistress holds her rod up to Sakura's eyes so she sees the crystal. Ringmistress: Look deep into the crystal Sakura, Look,look,look. The crystal starts to gleam brightly; Sakura tries to resist looking into the crystal but just can't help it. Ringmistress: Sleep,sleep,sleep Sakura looks into the crystal, a magical ray comes from the crystal and goes into Sakura's eyes. She starts to fall into a hypnotic trance, her eyes glazing over. Ringmistress: Don't fight the power of the Ringmistress, you are my servant now, you will obey me! Sakura's eyes fully open, entirely glazed, Speaking monotony. Sakura: I will obey. Introduction Beverley hills, USA The girls' villa. Sam was on the computer reading a fan fiction on the Internet. Clover: How long you are going to be Sam! We got to hit the mall soon while the sales are on. Sam: In a minute, I just want to find out how they escape from the volcano. Alex eavesdrops on the conversation while playing her Xbox. Alex: What volcano? Sam: The volcano on Zack Island. Clover: Sam, I thought you were a bright spark! Zack Island doesn't exist; it was just a stupid name a Japanese development team had to create for a spin-off to a beat em up game. Alex runs up to Clover Alex: It's not stupid! If you read the manual to DOAX you will see that Zack called it Zack Island after himself. Clover: Who cares, he doesn't exist, and besides who would want to date a man who is a total womaniser! Sam: Girls, this isn't helping me concentrate! There is a sudden click and a trap door opens under Alex and clover's feet. Also Sam's chair bends down towards the trap doors as the girls get WOOHPED. Sam: I didn't know my chair does that! Briefing WOOHP headquarters, Colorado, USA The girls fall onto the settee inside the briefing room, Jerry was sitting behind his desk. Jerry: Good Morning, girls. Alex: Jerry! Why do I have to go on a mission when my Xbox is still turned on! Jerry presses a button on his desk; the girls see a remote link showing the Xbox being turned off. Sam: That could explain how GLADIUS locked us in when Clover tried to go out for a date. Jerry: Girls we have more important issues to deal with... He presses a button on the desk; the screen behind him shows a map of Japan and a small red dot near Tokyo. A picture of a circus tent appears on the right. Jerry: This was the site of the recent circus festival in Tokyo Clover: I hate circuses, especially when I got my face got turned into an elephant's head! Alex: What the point about the circus festival? Jerry: During the time its has been on site, several people around the area went missing. Sam: Shouldn't the police there be handling this? Jerry: They should, but we discovered there have been similar incidents around the world. We are trying to cross-reference them now, but you three need to find out where the missing people have gone before the festival packs up. Jerry presses a button on the desk, and the girls are transported to the gadget room. The nano-converters change their costumes into their spy outfits. Jerry: For this mission you will have the Lipstick smoke bomb... GLADIUS hands over the gadget to Sam Jerry: ...which you activate by simply throwing it. Clover: Next thing you know they will develop disposable lipstick! Jerry: Clover, you will carry the eyeliner pencil knife, a simple twist will draw the knife at the opposite end. GLADIUS hands the gadget over to Clover yet she struggles to get it too work. Jerry: And Alex, you will have the Irritation fragrance spray, one press produces a standard spray of fragrance. GLADIUS hands the gadget over to Alex. Alex presses the spray once at her. Jerry: Press it again and it releases a chemical that can irritate the body and mind, effectively stunning them. Alex press it again at her face, her face starts to become sore. Alex yelps as it goes slightly red. Jerry: However this is a prototype so I would appreciate it if you can report back on its effects. Good luck girls. A trapdoor opens up in front of them and they are deployed. Investigation Tokyo suburbs, Japan 10:00PM Sam, Clover and Alex are parachuted into the suburbs near the circus. Alex: From the way down the circus looks like a ghost town Sam: That's good; we will be able to sneak in without any attention. Clover: At least we won't need carnival costumes; that made me want to puke! Alex: It could have been worse, you might have had a claw for a hand! Sam gets cross Sam: Just focus on the mission girls. Within an instant they begin to sneak into the circus grounds. At the front gates two guard stood watch. Sam: That's odd, circus guards on a night shift. Alex: Maybe it's their residence as well Sam: I don't think so. Sam notices that one of the trees surrounding the circus grounds had a branch that stretched into the grounds. Sam: That branch, use our belts to rappel up there. The trio used their rappel belts to attach on the branch. Upon rappelling, Alex noticed something hanging on it. Alex: There is something on that branch... Alex tries to reach for the hat, which was on the branch, however the hat was on the middle of the branch (where Clover is) Clover: Alex, we don't have time for collecting souvenirs. As Alex struggles to reach it Sam: Alex you're going to fall off Alex grabs the hat... Alex: Got it! But finds herself losing balance. Alex: Uh-oh,Whooa! Sam and Clover grabs hold of Alex by her legs, as she was about to hit the floor. Alex: Phew, Thanks Sam: We better get down form here. The trio rappel down Clover: What were you doing up there, you nearly gave us a headache! Alex: It was just that hat; it looks like a sailor's hat. Sam: Hold on to that, Alex, something tells me that may be one the missing person's items. Clover: Maybe it got caught in the wind. Sam checks her X-Power for the weather in Tokyo Sam: No, there was no wind tonight and the recorded data shows calm breezes in the last 5 days. I think the person kidnapped had his\her hat thrown in the air. We should carry on. The trio start to try and sneak into the main tent, while doing so they spot a caged lorry, with a certain set of people inside. Clover: Talk about swatter accommodation. Sam: I don't think they are staying for the night like that voluntarily. They went closer to the lorry; they noticed a geisha maiden, two dwarfs, a fox like woman and a man who has claws on his hands. They were all asleep. Alex and clover was scared. Alex: This is giving me the goosebumps; it's like a total freak show! Clover: What ever you do don't say freak show! Suddenly they hear a strange noise Alex: What was that. They see in the shadows a young girl Alex: Hello, who's there? The girl drops in front of them. She had has medium brown hair, braided and large green eyes, glazed over. She wore a black jester like outfit. Alex: Who are you? Clover: Girls I don't want to jinx us or anything, but I don't think she is here to give us a warm welcome. The girl draws out a card, and throws it into the air, hitting in flight. Sakura: Thunder Out of the card the thunder sprit is released launching a barrage of thunder upon the trio. The trio collapses on the floor. Alex: You jinxed us Clover Clover: Sorry As the hypnotized Sakura approaches them... Sam: Lets get out of here! She throws the lipstick smoke bomb at Sakura, exploding in a cloud of smoke and the trio run off. After the escape they catch their breath. Clover: Well that was great, all that for nothing, not even a small clue. Sam: Not quite, that hat Alex picked up might give us a small chance in finding out one of the victims; we better call Jerry to pick it up. Alex: And we better get home; school might have started why it is nighttime here. While the analysis took place... Beverly hills high school, USA Corridor 9 AM Sam was checking her locker Sam: This mission has gone off to a rough start... Alex: I thought that hat was going to help, what's making you change you mind. Sam closes her locker Sam: I don't know, its might have been a red herring. Clover: To be honest with you, I didn't think it would have been of any use anyway. Alex: If that's the case, can I ask to have it back, it would look great on an outfit Clover: Firstly, what outfit would you use for it. Alex: Um... Clover: And secondly,NO! X-Power bleeps, they hide in the girls restroom to receive the transmission. Jerry: Girls, we complete the DNA scan on the hat, it is believed to be linked to a young girl named Sakura Avalon who just so happens to be one of the missing people involved. The projector changes to show a picture of Sakura Clover: That girl tried to kill us, your saying we should rescue her! The projector returns to the live feed Jerry: If you let me finish,Apparently the hat is a part of her school uniform, which, judging by what happened in Tokyo... Sam: May mean that she might be forced to attack us. Jerry: Precisely, there is another circus opening in Paris; we suggest you go there armed with this new knowledge. Sam: Were on it, Jerry. Main phase Paris, France 12 PM The girls arrive near the circus, this time though the circus is packed with visitors and staff. Alex: Great, this time we arrive while it is still on. Sam: Well girls we will have to go undercover Clover: As long as its not as clowns! Sam: You have any other ideas Clover? Clover: I hate it when you say that... The girls use their X-powder's nano-converter to change their costumes into clown outfits. Alex: Well this will start a new act, female clowns! Sam and clover look at her with disbelief. The girls go round the back of the circus ground where they were let in as if they were circus acts. Clover: Great, were inside, now can we get rid of our disguises? Sam: Not just yet, we will get into the main tent first then remove our disguises. Clover sighs .As the girls enter the main tent; Alex notices the same lorry she saw in Tokyo. Alex: Look there's that lorry again. Sam: Your right Alex, it looks exactly the same Sam notices that there was nobody inside Sam: Wait a sec, Wasn't this lorry full when we saw it in Tokyo? Clover: Your right, it is virtually freak less! Sam: That means those people we saw inside are used in the circus acts, let's continue girls The girls make there way into the rear of the main tent. Once inside they use their X- Power's Nano-converter to change back into their spy outfits. Sam: Lets have a look around the tent before the visitors enter. The girls start to have a look around Sam: See anything? Alex: No, not a thing... She suddenly saw a dark figure in front of her Alex: UNLESS YOU COUNT A GHOST! Alex panics and runs off, yet the ghost stands there. Sam and clover runs to her Clover: Ghosts in here! Sam: No it can't be. Ghosts only appear in night, which means... Before Sam could finish, the ghost disappears and a hypnotized Sakura walks out from the corridor. Clover: That witch was behind this! Sakura pulls out a card and hits it with her staff. Sakura: Sword Her staff turns into a sword Clover: OK, now we are really in for it... As Sakura runs towards the trio Sam: Quickly Alex use the stun spray Alex pulls out the spray and jumps behind Sakura and sprays it, it has no effect. Sam: You need to press it again... Alex evades a swipe from Sakura and sprays it again, this time Sakura stops all of a sudden and then falls over. Sakura stands up, free from the hypnotic spell. Sakura: What happened? Where am I? Clover: You don't know! You tried to kill us twice! Sam: It must have been some form of mind control, like what happened in that software company building, you know the one with the robotic spiders. Alex: How could I forget! Sakura: What spiders, what's going on? Sudden a net is thrown over them and a group of guards circles over them. All 4 are captured and taken to a smaller tent in the circus grounds. Escape Staff tent, Circus, Paris, France 1 PM The girls are tied up onto chairs in what looks like a makeup room. The ringmistress appears before them. Clover: Eww, What a bad costume, it has predator written all over it. Ringmistress: Easy for you to say, I think it makes any man fall for me. Clover: If their dumb that is! Ringmistress: Silence! You three think just by walking in here and disrupt my dream that I will show you mercy! The Ringmistress looks at the window Ringmistress: Before I was the greatest circus owner, my acts performed across the globe showing everything every child would dream to see. But now it all came to nothing, "too unoriginal" they say. Well I will show them. I will bring talent that no one has seen. Mutants, sorcerers, everything that is exotic and original. Then I will create a tour that no one will forget! Clover: As if anyone would want to join your freak show! Ringmistress: What you don't realise is that I am also a mistress in Hypnosis as well, especially with my family rod... Ringmistress: Silence! Since you three disrupted my plans and forced me to remove one of my acts, I will have to set an example for you. By turning each one against another. Clover whispering: If I could just reach my eyeliner Alex whispering: This isn't the time for makeup Clover whispering: You know what I mean The ringmistress goes up to Sam and shows her rod in front of Sam's eyes so she sees the crystal. Ringmistress: Look into the crystal Sam, look,look,look. Sakura: No,don't look at the crystal, it's magic can hypnotize you. Sam's tries not to but just can't help looking into it. Ringmistress: Sleep,Sleep,Sleep Sam looks into the crystal and a magical ray goes into Sam's eyes. She has been hypnotized. The ringmistress pulls off the bandage and Sam stands up, her eyes glazed over. Ringmistress: Now Sam, attack Clover. Sam monotone :I will obey As Sam was about to attack Clover when suddenly Clover was able to pull out her eye-line knife and twist it, revealing a stiletto knife she cuts her bandage and leaps in front of her, crashing both into the ground. Ringmistress: Have fun girls! The Ringmistress leaves Clover: Quick Alex the... Before she can finish she was kicked by Sam and fell on to the table. She then discovers Sakura's Sealing wand. She picks it up and uses it as a weapon. Sakura: Hey, that my wand! Clover: Sorry but now really isn't the time to discuss that. As Clover uses the wand like a club... Clover: Sorry Sam! She whacks Sam, knocking her on the floor. Clover goes to Alex and cuts the bandage open with the eyeliner knife. Clover: Quick Alex, use the stun spray on Sam. As she does that, Clover cuts Sakura's bandage and gives back her sealing wand. Clover: There you go, hope I didn't break it. Sakura: It fine, it's stronger than it looks. Sam, free from the hypnotic spell, goes up to Sakura Sam: Are you all right? Sakura: Yes, but who are you? Sam: I'm Sam Clover: I'm Clover Alex: I'm Alex Sam: Were from WOOHP, the World Organization Of Human Protection. Clover: Were like international spies Alex: Who are you anyway? Sakura: My name is Sakura; I wield the ancient Clow cards in order to protect Japan. Clover: So you are a witch Alex: No a Wicca Sam: Or even better a sorcereress Sakura frowns at them, just then the girls hear an engine starting up. The girls run out to find a van driving off. Sam: I bet the Ringmistress is getting away; let's get her girls. Clover: But how, we have nothing to pursue with. Sakura: Leave that to me Sakura throws out a card and hits it with her staff Sakura: Fly The sides on her staff change into wings. Sakura: Well, climb on! Clover: I knew it, she is a witch, and only a witch would ride like that! Sakura: I AM NOT A WITCH! Sam: Whoo Alex: You go girl! Pursuit French streets, Paris, France 1:30PM The Ringmistress's van tries to get away on the streets; the girls fly above the van though the van is quicker than Sakura's staff. Clover: Faster Sakura, she's getting away. Sakura: I'm trying Sam: I don't think Sakura is going to be able to go faster, were going to have to drop on her with our rappel belts. Alex: What do you have in mind? Sam: Alex, you try to free the hostages, they may be hypnotized so use the stun spray first. Clover, you deal with the Ringmistress but whatever you do don't look at her rod. Sakura, when I give the signal veer to the left so we can rappel. I will gain control of the van when Clover fights the ringmistress. The girls understood their task Sam: 1,2,3,GO! Sakura veers to the left and the rest rappel on to the van. They open the hatch on the top of the van (it seems to be specially designed) and enter. Alex: Everybody, I'm here to rescue you But the hostages were all hypnotized so they attack her. Alex: Give me a moment... Alex uses her Stun spray to stun the hostages, freeing them from their hypnotic spell Alex: As I was saying I here to rescue you. On the other side of the van Clover: It's over Circus girl! The Ringmistress who was driving the van... Ringmistress: Hmm, you risk your life in an out of control van, how foolish! Getting up from the drivers seat Clover: Not as foolish as you! As they fight, Sam smashes the front window and climbs in Ringmistress: Ah I see, very clever! The ringmistress pulls Sam out of the driver seat. Ringmistress: But not that clever With no driver the van crashes into a car. The ringmistress jumps out of the van. Ringmistress: So long... Before she could finish dust appeared on top of her, she starts to get sleepy and falls into a deep sleep. The trio climbs out the wreaked van, slightly brushed. Clover: What happened? Alex: I think we know... They turn around to see Sakura holding the sleep card. It all became clear. Apprehended French streets, Paris, France 2 PM A swarm of WOOHP helicopters surrounds the crashed van. The ringmistress is apprehended but not before she was put into a sack so she can't use her powers. Jerry: Good job, girls, see you back home. Sam: Thanks; we will return the victims to their homes first. As the helicopters fly off, the trio approach Sakura Sam: Thanks a lot Sakura, if it wasn't for you, she would have got away. Alex: If it wasn't for that sleep card you drew; I don't know what would happen. Sakura blushes Clover: Say Sakura, have you ever thought about joining us; we could use someone like you. Sakura: Thanks for the offer... but, my destiny lies at home, I can't afford to be distracted. Sam: Well, you where to find us. Clover: Beverly Hills, USA. The home of glamour!
